For the upcoming season, my recital programs will focus on piano transcriptions of Bach’s organ works. I have not performed Mozart for some time, and I am therefore adding a new Mozart sonata to my repertoire. Schubert and Brahms remain especially close to me, and this season I will again return to Schubert with the Sonata in C minor, along with selected works by Brahms.
I am also preparing a series of lecture-recitals on organ transcriptions, which will include my own piano adaptations of Brahms’s organ chorales. In addition to solo recitals, I have been invited to perform Tchaikovsky’s Piano Concerto. My concerto repertoire this season will also include Beethoven’s Emperor Concerto, Grieg’s Piano Concerto in A minor, and Bach’s Keyboard Concerto in D minor.
